The door knock: the channel automation forgot

When the mailbox is full and the phone is blocked, the front porch still works. The teams doing it well treat the knock as the last movement of a system, not a cold cold-call.

Every automated channel has an automated defense. Calls get screened, texts get filtered, mail gets recycled unopened. The one channel with no spam folder is a respectful human being standing at the door. That is exactly why the best acquisition teams in distressed markets never dropped door knocking, even as their tooling modernized around it.

The mistake is treating the knock as a first touch. Cold, it is an intrusion. Sequenced, it is a follow-through: the owner has seen your letter, maybe heard one voicemail, and the person at the door can say so. Context transforms the interaction from stranger to the company that has been trying to reach you.

The knock as a queue item

In PropCue, a door knock is a task like any other: generated by cadence rules, ranked by auction runway, carrying the full conversation history to the doorstep on a phone screen. The rep sees the legal status, every prior touch, and the AI's notes before ringing the bell. The outcome gets logged like any message, and the cadence adjusts.

Nothing about the porch conversation is automated, and nothing should be. What the system does is make sure the right doors get knocked on the right week, by someone who arrives already knowing the story.

Work the clock, not the list.

PropCue launches one territory at a time, with a disclosure review for your state before the first message goes out.
